About this site

Islets of Langerhans, often called just islets are small organs present in the pancreas. They contain different types of cells that secrete hormones like insulin, glucagon, and somatostatin. Impairment of islet function cause diabetes. Numerous scientists are doing research on islets and I am one of them. This website is about my academic background and my involvement in  islet research.
